„My mother was first and foremost a mum until her death in 2013, but right after that she was an artist. Even when we were still children, we benefited from her inexhaustible creativity. We were encouraged musically and carried out many exciting projects. From the 1990s, my mother turned her hobby into a profession. With her surrealist series „World of the Senses“ she discovered her own visual language, and we could top up our pocket money by sitting as models for her studies. One of my highlights was in the early 2000s, the vernissage in the Romanesque cellar in Salzburg during the Long Night of Museums, where Roland Haas – then rector of the Mozarteum – gave the laudatory speech for my mother. Even when she was already ill, she kept working on her paintings. She created her own worlds, took her time, designed lovingly and with great humour and irony. She did not take herself too seriously, but her art was important to her – as an outlet, but also as a game of turning the world upside down and thus creating a declaration of love for life.“
